For 20 years, Elizabeth has been hand crafting tie- dyes. As the owner of "Where's the Lizard" she has tie-dyed, well, just about everything from scrubs to doggy wear. She's known for her vibrant, swirling colors, and wants to make an impression with every order.
Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Liz had a natural love for the outdoors. She immersed herself in all sorts of activities such as skiing, biking, and hiking. Over time she found her creative spirit. It began by painting every room in her home a different color. She had big ideas and loved experimenting, and making tie dyes was the perfect outlet.
Growing up, Liz was always a free thinker, and had an active, creative mind. She found herself at an early age experimenting with new color variations, and a variety of patterns. Making tie-dyes is a form of meditation for her. This hands on meditation allows her to pour her love and energy into every cloth.
What better way to express your love for someone than in a handmade gift? She began making all sorts of tie dyes for birthdays, Christmas, and even baby shower gifts. She would tie dye anything she could get her hands on. Her friends and family have everything from shirts, dresses, shorts, bedding, and even underwear.
In addition to her full time devotion to making tie-dye art, Liz also finds time getting her hands dirty in her garden. She would stumble upon lizards in her pots. This gave her the idea to sneak lizards into her original creations. Her pup, Zoe, can always be found soaking up the sunshine in her garden, rocking one of her orginial bandanas.
